Dog food is commercially prepared to be the only source of calories for the pet provided. Thus contains all the nutrients in the right proportions for your dog. Over-integrate your dog, particularly with concentrated nutrients can cause an imbalance of important nutrients like calcium, zinc, vitamin A, fat or protein.

Some dogs suffer soft stools because of the variety of different foods that offer it. Fruits and vegetables, especially if they are raw, can lead to changes in the gastro-intestinal microflora in the gut and osmolarity.

Usually the dogs are not picky eaters and most are happy to eat dog food every day. However, many people feel the need to eat human food for their dogs.
